I preordered this today online from Amazon. It comes with a code for first DLC episode :) I am looking forward to this game immensely. I have always enjoyed adventure games and this seems really unique.

From what I've read, the 3D tech available now isn't so much stuff popping out of the screen, it's more of a depth of field effect. I'm not sure I want to sit around wearing glasses plus buying more at $50 a piece for groups of friends when they come over.

Personally I believe Collector's Editions are a waste. You pay extra for stuff that just sits around collecting dust. BTW, these collector's editions won't be worth anything in the future because you open them to play the games. So unless you're going to buy a standard edition to play and a collector's edition to put away, then there's no point in stupid plastic replicas, behind the scenes (if you've seen one, you've seen them all, just people sitting at computers talking about their game,...
I think some multiplats have compressed audio on PS3. I was playing Darksiders and at the bottom of the intro page where it lists the engines used and what not it says Mpeg 3 in the paragraph. Either way, I don't have a sound system because I live in an apartment and the neighbors would complain.
But FFXIII doesn't have compression on PS3.
I'm not buying another tv anytime soon just for 3D. I bought the Samsung LN46A650 in '08 and it's going to last me for a few more years at least.

Quit flip-flopping. First you say "Now they seem not to care for the children" then follow it with "Ditching the friend codes is an excellent start." Make up your mind. Are you upset with Nintendo? You call them lazy and unmotivated but then you basically say keep up the good work.
What's the big deal? Those games are two years old and probably not selling much anymore. It may be unfortunate for late Wii buyers, however Nintendo shouldn't have to keep shipping games past their prime.
I think enough is enough with these music games. Aren't they just the same thing over and over? Why not listen to your iPods instead of "playing" the song?
